Description


Join the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce for Pack for a Purpose—a hands-on (and heart-filled!) volunteer event supporting PROP Food and their mission to provide food and housing stability to local families.

This is one of those “stop by or stay awhile” kind of events 😊

Whether you:

  • Pop in to drop off donations and say hello
  • Stay and help pack birthday boxes and meal kits
  • Or do a little bit of both

—you’re making a real impact for families right here in our community.

How to get involved:

✨ Stop in + Donate: Swing by to drop off items—whether it's birthday box supplies (see picture) or pantry staples from our “spring cleaning” list (see list at bottom of the page). Every item helps!

 

Items needed: Our goal is to box over 100 Birthday Bags!
  • Cake Mix (can include gluten free)
  • Can of Soda
  • Frosting
  • Cake Pan
  • Candles (but not required)

📦 Stay + Pack: Register (it’s free!) and join us in assembling birthday boxes for local families. We’ll have a sample on-site so you can see exactly what you’re helping create 💛

💵 Give Financially (Optional): Can’t make it or want to do more? Donations through the registration page help us purchase additional items for packing. We also accept checks, please make to Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce. 

📣 Spread the Word: Invite a friend, coworker, or team to join you—this is a great low-lift, high-impact way to get involved.

We’ll have complimentary refreshments, great company, and plenty of feel-good moments—whether you stay for 10 minutes or the full event.

No experience needed—just bring yourself, your generosity, and maybe a friend or two 😊

PROP Food (People Reaching Out to People) supports individuals and families in the Eden Prairie and Chanhassen area by providing access to nutritious food, emergency financial assistance, and personalized guidance. Grounded in a neighbors-helping-neighbors approach, PROP works to meet immediate needs while helping families move toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency.
