Our CNA course and certification pathway generated more student interest than we had available seats\, further demonstrating the demand for learning that connects directly to future opportunities. Partnerships such as Best Buy working directly with our students bring additional industry expertise and authentic experiences into their learning.In manufacturing\, our Intro to Welding and Manufacturing course grew from 55 students in two sections to 130 students in five sections\, leading to the addition of two Advanced Welding and Manufacturing sections. We are also adding OSHA 10 certification to our Engineering and wood crafting Capstones. While CTE remains a strong presence\, this work goes beyond CTE in the traditional sense by connecting academics\, technical skills\, research\, innovation\, entrepreneurship\, and career preparation.We will also preview our first Advanced Manufacturing Event at Valley View on October 16\, which Dr. Shawn HoffmanBram is spearheading. The event will serve high school and ALC students\, Metro South learners\, and community members. Plans include a glass classroom featuring manufacturing equipment\, an innovation lab\, a vendor area highlighting jobs and career pathways\, and speakers addressing essential workforce skills.
