WHY: Helping Paws operates almost entirely on donations. We are fully accredited by
Assistance Dogs International, with decades of experience training and placing
life changing service dogs with individuals with physical disabilities and veterans
with PTSD, at little to no cost. This year’s Give to the Max Day donors have the
opportunity to double their impact thanks to a generous $5,000 matching gift
from Motorwerks BMW.
Our 2025 Give to the Max Day campaign focuses on our Blue Coat Academy
(BCA), where future Assistance Dogs receive hands-on training from professional
staff during the day and spend their evenings in the loving care of dedicated Host
Home volunteers. The BCA provides a structured environment that enhances
each dog’s learning, socialization, and readiness to serve. Our “More Dogs, More
Impact” has us on track to triple the number of service dogs we place by 2027.
