At The Speech Company, our evaluations are neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based, and tailored to the unique needs of each client whether they’re a toddler just beginning to speak, a school-age child struggling with articulation or language, or an adult working on functional communication.
What the Evaluation May Include:
-A caregiver or client interview to gather history, concerns, and goals
-Play-based or structured observation
-Formal and informal testing of speech sounds, language comprehension, expression, social communication, voice, fluency, and/or AAC use
-Collaboration with caregivers, educators, or other professionals (with permission)
-A written summary with observations, results, recommendations, and therapy goals (if applicable)
What Happens Next: After the evaluation, we’ll review the results with you in a clear and supportive way. If therapy is recommended, we’ll collaborate with you to create a personalized plan choosing a frequency, setting, and approach that fits your needs.
At The Speech Company, we believe that communication is about connection. Our goal is to help each client build the skills and confidence they need to express themselves authentically.
