Join us at The International School of Minnesota for a vibrant celebration of culture, community, and global connection at International Day 2026! This FREE, family-friendly event is open to the public and welcomes families and community members to experience traditions, flavors, music, and stories from around the world, all in one place.
Event Highlights
Parade of Nations – 11:00 AM
Kick off the celebration with a colorful procession as students proudly represent their heritage by carrying national flags and wearing traditional attire, reflecting the incredible diversity of our community.
Cultural Performances – 11:00 AM–12:15 PM
Enjoy vibrant performances featuring dance, music, and song from around the world, including:
• Egyptian dance by Jawaahir
• Colombian dance by Colombia Live MN
• A lively French Trio with accordion, vocals, and guitar
• Leilani Rose & Lovely Lily performing Flowers of Hawaii with traditional music and hula
Global Discovery Rooms – 12:15–3:00 PM
Travel the world without leaving campus! Each featured culture transforms a classroom into an immersive destination with interactive displays, cultural demonstrations, and hands-on activities. Don’t forget to stamp your passport at each stop!
International Café – 12:30–2:30 PM
Taste flavors from around the world with dishes inspired by our featured cultures:

• Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos – Western United States
• Falafel – Egypt
• Chicken Chuzo & Cachapas – Colombia
Explorer Experience Zones – 12:15–3:00 PM
Dive into hands-on fun for all ages:
• Operate a robot with our Robotics Team
• Try virtual reality journeys to featured countries
• Take photos at our festive photo booth
• Step into the spotlight as a news anchor in our broadcasting studio using a real teleprompter
