The Organization
The Eden Prairie Community Foundation has served the people of Eden Prairie since its founding by city leaders in 1981. Our mission is to “enrich our community through philanthropy, collaboration, and leadership.” A full-time executive director, an engaged board of directors, and a dedicated group of volunteers carry out this mission in a variety of ways. We support non-profits and civic organizations through strategic grant-making in the areas of social services, education and youth development, recreation and environment, and arts and culture. We collaborate across the city to host community events such as PeopleFest, Give Gathering volunteer and resource fair, Community Leaders Luncheon, Prairie Brewfest, and EP Gives gala. We leverage expertise to support diversity and inclusion in our community, and we bring together neighbors to help address current community challenges like affordable housing and food insecurity. With all this and more, the Foundation seeks to enhance the quality of life for all who live and work in Eden Prairie.
The Position
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Operations & Communications Associate performs a range of functions ensuring the work of the Foundation makes a difference in the community. Working closely with the Executive Director, you will be an important representative of the Foundation, working with donors, grant recipients, and our volunteer leaders.
The position is a hybrid role with flexibility, requiring 15 hours per week on average with some variation based on availability and events. The rate of pay is $22 per hour. The role comes with 2 weeks paid time off. Office space is provided in the Foundation office at City Hall in Eden Prairie.
