Strap on a helmet and join Commuter Services in celebrating National Bike Month in May by replacing vehicle trips with a bike or e-bike.

During Bike Month - May 2024, employers, commuters and residents are invited to pledge to try any sustainable mode to work – bike commuting, transit, carpool or vanpool, or working from home – and be entered to win an electric bike!

Commuter Services will hold a family-friendly community event at Richfield’s Taft Bike Park Thursday, May 16, 4:30-6 p.m. Bikers of all levels are invited to stop the Bike Month – May 2024 Celebration to enjoy the off-road track for adults and another for kiddos. Participants can try riding an e-bike or e-scooter, take part in pop-up bike classes, stop by vendor booths, and get food from the Soul2Soul BBQ truck.

Visitors will also be able to try placing bikes on a bus/bike rack in a stress-free environment, pick up information on how to get started with bike commuting, and enter the pledge drawing to win the electric bike, or pledge to use a sustainable transportation mode for a personal trip for other great prizes. There will be lots of swag and great information to go around.

No registration is required to attend the Bike Month – May 2024 Celebration. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held Thursday, May 23, 4-6:30 p.m., at Taft Bike Park.
