As a provider dedicated to serving the IDD community, with over 90% of our funding sourced from Medicaid, we recognize the funding uncertainty facing our organization, the individuals we serve, and their families.
The House of Representatives recently passed a budget framework calling for cuts of at least $880 billion—cuts that would likely target Medicaid. While the full implications of this restructuring are still unfolding, we want to assure you that our commitment to providing quality services remains steadfast. We are actively monitoring the situation and engaging with advocacy organizations to understand how these potential changes may impact our operations and the individuals we support.
We encourage our community members to stay informed and engaged. Your voices are vital in advocating for the continuation and enhancement of services that empower individuals with IDD to live fulfilling lives within the community.
How You Can Help
✔ Contact Your Legislators – Call or email your representatives and urge them to protect Medicaid funding for individuals with disabilities. The U.S. Senate is planning to take a vote as early as this week on a budget framework that could lead to drastic cuts to Medicaid. You can find your representatives here.
✔ Share Your Story – Personal stories make an impact. If Medicaid services have benefited you or a loved one, consider sharing your experience with policymakers, advocacy groups, or on social media.
